This is a truly unique and varied role, where youll be in Zoo grounds working closely with all teams - the dynamic working environment is different every day!!Our WHS team is on the search for an experienced and autonomous Senior WHS Advisor. This role empowers you to influence safety culture by guiding people leaders with expert advice and practical solutions to proactively manage workplace risks across diverse zoo operations.This is a Monday to Friday role, ideally 8am till 4pm.We can discuss your ideal work schedule, hybrid work set up and working hours in the interview process.About The RoleSupporting Taronga Zoo and Taronga Western Plains Zoo, you''ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including animal keepers, veterinary staff, commercial operations, education and conservation teams, and trades staff in facilitating the development of safety management plans. You will provide expert advice and ensure effective risk controls for high-risk activities. You''ll also lead and mentor WHS team members, supporting their development and overseeing projects. Your ability to engage with teams, understand operational challenges, and tailor practical safety solutions will be key to fostering a safe and compliant work environment.This role suits an experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic and complex risk environment, works autonomously, and takes a proactive approach to achieving strategic safety objectives.
