As a Direct Services Team Leader, you will supervise the day-to-day practice of direct support staff in providing accommodation support and respite services to people with an intellectual disability and their families.You will ensure that staff practices align with all relevant legislative requirements and standards, including the Human Services Quality Framework.Skills required include leading and mentoring staff within an established direct support practice framework.Key ResponsibilitiesEncourage teams to identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement of service delivery for people with an intellectual disability.Keep yourself and your teams informed about and ensure the application of relevant legislative requirements, departmental policies, and service delivery practices.Plan for and implement regular monitoring and review of systems and processes used by support staff within the service delivery environment.Articulate performance standards when coaching and mentoring staff by providing constructive feedback on work practices.
