Senior Financial Accountant | Private Equity | $150,000 + Bonus Unique opportunity within a high-performing private equity firm Diverse and high-impact role across both corporate and fund finance $130,000 - $150,000 + Competitive Bonus | CBD based The Opportunity Our client is a highly regarded investment management firm with a proven track record in private equity and special situations. Known for its disciplined investment approach and active portfolio management, the firm operates with a dynamic, collaborative culture and a reputation for excellence. Based in Sydneys CBD, this opportunity sits within a lean, high-calibre finance team and offers broad exposure across fund and corporate reporting, tax compliance, investor relations, and transactions. This is a key role that would suit a technically strong and commercially astute accountant, looking to deepen their experience in private equity or investment management. The Challenge Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, your responsibilities will include: Preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports across multiple entities Oversight of BAS, tax returns, and all ATO compliance matters Review of NAVs, capital calls, distributions and fund expenses prepared by the external fund administrator Support investor reporting, liaising with stakeholders and responding to queries Coordinate year-end statutory accounts and audit processes Liaise with external tax, legal, and audit advisors Contribute to structuring advice and financial due diligence for new transactions Champion process improvement across reporting, controls, and systems The Expertise You should consider applying if you have: CA qualification and 58 years experience in chartered (Big 4 or mid-tier), private equity, or investment management Strong technical grounding in financial reporting, tax, and compliance Understanding of fund structures and investor reporting Commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive approach Excellent communication skills and comfort dealing with senior stakeholders About ThompsonCook ThompsonCook fosters strong relationships with top accounting and finance professionals across Australia.
