Add expected salary to your profile for insights.WestAus Crisis & Welfare Services is seeking an energetic and passionate CEO to lead the organisation and continue its essential work in the Peel Region.The CEO is responsible for the effective oversight and management of the organisation''s operations and programs to deliver the strategic objectives set out by the Board of Management. This includes managing the day-to-day coordination of services to community members facing crises, including financial assistance, food, accommodation, counseling, or advocacy. The CEO is also responsible for sourcing and managing funding for various service streams.The role involves engagement and advocacy with local, State, and Federal agencies and members of parliament.Essential skills include:Demonstrated ability to manage a human service organisation, including staff management, administration, and financial skills.Ability to work with a Board of Management.Knowledge of relevant social services and community resources, with the ability to prepare funding applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A strong commitment to working with and advocating for those in need of assistance.A strong motivation and commitment to the objectives and principles of WestAus Crisis & Welfare Services.Community engagement skills.C class motor vehicle driving license.Current comprehensive Working with Children and Police checks.Extensive experience in managing a social welfare agency.A qualification in social services or equivalent.Ability to assess social and economic factors impacting clients.An understanding of issues faced by the crisis client group.Experience in direct service delivery to the crisis client group.WestAus Crisis & Welfare Services is a leading non-profit provider in the Peel Community, assisting vulnerable people in crisis through services like crisis support, emergency accommodation, tenancy advice, food assistance, referral, advocacy, and emergency relief payments.
