Exciting Opportunity Auxiliary Maintenance Coordinator (FIFO from Perth) Are you ready for your next challenge, or do you know someone who is? We are currently seeking expressions of interest for an Auxiliary Maintenance Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Mining Area C & South Flank Iron Ore Operations, located just 1.5 hours from Newman. Supervisor experience and a trade background are preferred. Role Highlights: 8/6 roster Day shift only FIFO from Perth Work closely with Auxiliary Superintendent and Supervisors Focus on monthly planning and coordination while supporting MAC Hub operations Be part of a growing team with exciting projects and improvement initiatives Key Responsibilities: As the Auxiliary Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of planned maintenance activities and supporting the long-term success of our operations. Your responsibilities will include: Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders across Mining Area C (MAC), South Flank, and Project Delivery Teams. Participate in cross-functional routines, field visits, and verification activities to align maintenance strategies and project goals. Serve as a liaison between the Auxiliary Maintenance Team and external/internal partners to ensure seamless communication and execution. Promote a strong safety-first mindset in all aspects of work. Lead by example in the field and during team meetings, pre-starts, and toolbox talks. Support safety improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with BHPs safety standards and procedures. Collaborate with Reliability Engineers to ensure assets are correctly recorded and maintained according to inspection intervals. Assist in developing and implementing asset strategies to improve equipment reliability and performance. Focus on monthly planning and coordination, enabling Supervisors to focus on daily and weekly tasks. Attend workshops, handovers, and risk assessments to ensure departmental alignment and readiness. Support Supervisors with resource, equipment, and logistics coordination as needed. Contribute to the implementation of the BHP Operating System (BOS) and standardised work practices. Assist in delivering safety and operational improvement projects. Identify opportunities for cost savings, waste reduction, and process optimisation. Provide input into monthly cost routines and support budget management. Monitor expenditure, identify variances, and support financial forecasting and reporting. Support the Superintendent in planning and long-term improvement initiatives. Interested?
