AHP3/PO3 ($101,285 - $111,746 p.a.) + 11.5% SuperThe Department for Child Protection is seeking a Supervisor to join the team at the Whyalla Office on a full-time term basis.The role of Supervisor is accountable to the Office Manager for leadership, development and performance of a designated work team and management of professional social work or case management practice and standards. The role is responsible for the development of services that are relevant, appropriate and accessible to a range of clients.In this role, you will be responsible for:Promoting professional social work practice in the team by enabling a full range of culturally acceptable intervention methodologies.Developing services that are relevant, culturally appropriate and accessible to all client groups with a focus on disabled and Aboriginal clients.Providing a range of services to achieve outcomes for the safety, security and care of children, young people and their families.Leveraging relevant assessment frameworks and evidence based research to inform good social work and culturally inclusive practice.Contributing to strategic leadership and business planning across the department.To be successful in this role, you will have:Experience in supervising a team, managing and prioritising workloads.Proficiency in leading and developing staff to achieve quality results by providing appropriate orientation, development and appraisal.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with key stakeholders.Experience in developing productive working relationships with all levels of Government, non-government agencies and the community.If you are looking for the opportunity to drive service reform and contribute directly to improved outcomes, then we encourage you to apply.About the BusinessThe Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia.
