About the Role We are looking for two experienced and dedicated Receptionists to provide excellent customer service to our clients and their fur-babies at our Duffys Forest Pet Hotel in Sydneys North. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for flexible hours to job share our Reception Desk in this fun and unique workplace! This PERMANENT PART-TIME role works approximately 24-32 hours per week,with shifts availablebetween the hours of 6.45am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm Saturdays and/or 2pm to 6pm SundaysYou can choose between 3-4 longer days or 5 shorter days. Each shift will include either an Open (at 6.45am) or Close (at 6pm). Must be available at least one day every weekend or both days every 2nd weekend, as well as school holidays and public holidays, including Easter and Christmas. This role ensures customers feel nurtured and confident in our ability to care for their furry family members , and will provide administration & reservations services to pet owners, as well as support to our Pet Care team. In this role you will be responsible for: Delivering a 5-star experience when welcoming pets & their owners into the Pet Hotel. Checking our furry guests in and out and taking accurate notes of their individual/special requestsManaging the phones to take bookings and answer telephone enquiries. Driving retail and add-on sales using your knowledge of the best products and services to suit each individual pet/owners needs. Coordinating front-of-house reception and general administration duties , including data entry & processing payments. Providing excellent customer service and continually looking for ways to improve the customer experience. Maintaining high-quality guest services , including keeping owners up-to-date during their pets stay. About You To be successful in this role, you will be an administration/customer service professional who has: A bubbly personality and genuine love and affection for cats & dogs. 3 years reception, administration, or customer service experience, preferably in the petcare, veterinary, travel/airline/tourism, or professional services industriesAccurate administrative skills and EXCEPTIONAL attention to detailThe motivation to deliver amazing experiences to our customers. Excellent communication skills and a professional phone manner. The desire and skill to achieve positive outcomes for both customers and fellow team members. The ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment by using well-developed time management and organisational skillsA process-oriented approach and experience complying with Reception/Customer Service procedures. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, and can easily adapt to new systems such as financial & reservations platformsA positive attitude , with proven experience helping teammates so that the whole team succeedsAdditionally you will: Be available to work during School Holidays, long weekends, and the busy Easter and Christmas holidaysBe committed to working safely , and following Standard Operating Procedures. Hold a NSW drivers licence and have your own car to get to and from work (public transport is limited during our operating hours). IMPORTANT: This is an active and physical role working across the Pet Hotel. In addition to being seated for reception and administrative work and using a computer and telephone, the incumbent will be required to work in close proximity to cats and dogs, and on their feet for portions of their day. They must be able to sit for prolonged periods to use a computer, as well as stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, crouch, kneel, squat, reach, stretch, and restrain animals (up to 50kg) on leads, communicate, speak, and interact with customers, internal and external stakeholders, and members of the public in person, over the phone, and online in order to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
