Our programs support people with disability to build skills and capability to ensure they can participate in leading a meaningful life.Job DescriptionThe Role:The Assistant Team Leader (ATL) supports Team Leaders and Operational Managers in delivering quality, person-centred services that safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of participants. The ATL coaches and mentors Disability Support Workers to achieve participant-focused outcomes, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.As the primary contact between Disability Support Workers and Management, the ATL fosters strong relationships with participants and their families, ensuring a customer service ethos in service delivery. The ATL also provides out-of-hours support as part of the On Duty roster and may be contacted outside normal work hours for matters which require immediate attention.About You:To be successful in this role you must address the following selection criteria:Proven ability to apply person centred active support.Proven ability to manage all participant documentation and keep currency.Excellent communication skills including oral and written communication.Ability to assist the team to implement and review participant support plans and relevant supporting documents.Ability to coach and develop teams by providing support, supervision and coaching in line with organisational valuesWell-developed organisational skills including attention to detail and meeting deadlines.Solution focused and sound problem-solving skills.High level computer literacy and effective use of technologyDesired Skills and ExperienceCertificate IV in Disability or related discipline (or willingness to complete)NDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking with Childrens Check (WWCC) NSW/VICCurrent, valid drivers licence and a willingness to drive Mercy Connect vehicles.Participate in a rotating on call roster that requires working outside normal office hours.Availability to work across a 24-7 rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers- if needed.Current First Aid certificateSome work outside normal rostered hours may be neededMercy Connect is committed to the safety of children and vulnerable people.
