Apply now Job no: 503133Work type: PermanentLocation: BundabergCategories: AdministrationAbout the roleMater Bundaberg is looking for an Executive Support Officer to join the team on a Full-time and/or Permanent Part-time capacity.The Executive Support Officer provides high-quality administrative and operational support to the Hospital General Manager and Corporate Affairs & Growth (CAG) team.The Executive Support Officer coordinates the functions of the Hospital Leadership Support team to ensure adequate and consistent administrative and operational support is available to Hospital leaders.Source locums/short-term specialists to meet service delivery gaps as identified by the General Manager and make all necessary arrangements pertaining to travel and accommodationAct as key point of contact and coordination for Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) workforceCoordinate, extending to appropriate delegation, CAG and Foundation activities/functions locally (including Mercy Food Services, Mercy Linen Services and Corporate Services where applicable) as directed by relevant CAG stakeholdersAssist with preparation of correspondence and distribution of informationEnsure all Mater People reporting to this position conduct themselves in accordance with the Code of Conduct and associated Behavioural StandardsEnsure all reporting personnel have appropriate training and development opportunities available to them to assist in achieving strategic and business objectivesEnsure staff performance reviews are undertaken in accordance with organisational policyDevelop a cooperative work environment and maintain open communication through effective interpersonal skills and appropriate forumsMaintain an effective and current succession plan to anticipate absences as a result of leave or separationAuthorise staff time and attendance records and applications in accordance with Mater delegationsAbout youQualifications in business administration, healthcare administration or related disciplineMinimum of two years experience in a healthcare or hospital setting, preferably in a business support or related hospital support roleAbility to promote the Vision, Mission and Values of MaterHigh level facilitation and influencing skills along with strong decision-making skills with the ability to set, manage and implement prioritiesSignificant, proven experience of identifying, developing, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersAbility to create and develop collaborative work environments where trust, integrity and open communication are valuedMater is Queenslands largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
