Bookkeeper, Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer, Cairns Part-time Fixed TermPosted: 20/05/2025Closing Date: 20/06/2025Job Type: Permanent - Part TimeJob Category: Administration and OfficeWe are currently seeking a reliable Bookkeeper/Administration Assistant to join our team at EDMS Australia in our Cairns Branch.This opportunity will best suit a friendly individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail to support our successful operation.Ideally you would be available 4-5 days a week for up to 30 hours per week, until December 2025.Job DescriptionIn your role you would be working under the direction of the Financial Officer, sharing the everyday bookkeeping tasks.Skill Set:Accounts PayableAdminister open Purchase Orders and keep accurate records.Request Creditor invoices as required.Process Incoming Creditor Invoices as per established procedure.Reconcile Supplier statements.Assist with weekly and monthly payment run.Assist with Supplier onboarding and keep Supplier records up to date.Assist with Bank and Credit Card ReconciliationFollow up on missing Supplier invoices as required.Assist with debt collection and Tax ReportingRaise Purchase Orders as requiredAdministration :Manage and direct incoming phone calls to company personnel.Prepare and maintain company documents (memos, notices, letters, spreadsheets and emails) as required.Maintain administration and company supplies, including stationary, lunch/tea room amenities.Mail collection, recording, distribution, and postage.Undertake company errands as required including collection of personnel from airports, pick up tools and materials, courier documents to other addresses, mailing and banking.Coordinate periodic record archiving.Desired Skills and ExperienceThe successful applicant will possess:A mature and professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to adapt to change and learn new skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesDemonstrable Experience and Qualifications:High level of data entry skills speed and accuracy of inputDemonstrated experience in accounts payable and reconciliationsStrong level of written and verbal communication skillsExperience with MYOB EXO or other accounting software packagesMicrosoft ExcelSound Understanding of accounting principlesA Certificate IV in Accounts and Bookkeeping would be highly regardedWe Offer :Competitive Salary commensurate with experienceA positive and inclusive work environmentComprehensive in-house training and opportunities for personal and professional developmentAbout us:EDMS AUSTRALIA was established in 2005 and is a professional engineering and manufacturing company, providing Australia wide and international engineering, design and manufactured bespoke products to a diverse range of Clients in Defence, Marine, Renewable Energy, Industrial, Resource, Sugar and Tourism Industries.If you are looking for a position with a solid local Company, we encourage you to apply with your resume and a cover letter, outlining your relevant experience, via the EDMS Careers #J-18808-Ljbffr
