If youre driven by purpose and excited to be part of something bigger, wed love to have you on the journey.About the role:Senior Specialist - Sourcing provides expert knowledge within the Procurement, Supply Chain, and Category Management disciplines, with specific procurement sourcing optimisation expertise of significant value to the Origin business.This role goes beyond purchasing goods and services; it focuses on creating value through cost savings, supplier relationships, and aligning sourcing activities to deliver Origin''s Purpose, guided by Origin''s Values.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic sourcing frameworks to drive value and achieve business objectives.Spearhead supplier negotiations, ensuring maximum value extraction and robust contractual agreements.Manage the entire procurement process from sourcing through delivery and close-out, capturing valuable lessons learned.Utilize market insights and commercial acumen to identify and deliver significant value through strategic sourcing.Build strong relationships with business units and suppliers to ensure coordinated and effective procurement outcomes.Align sourcing activities with Origin''s social responsibility commitments, including local, indigenous, and ethical procurement.Uphold rigorous procurement processes, complying with all legal, ethical, and governance standards.Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize procurement performance.What will you bring?You will role model Origins values, be self-driven, proactive, and take initiative.A team player with the ability to work collaboratively across levels, building positive relationships.7-10 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.Experience in the construction, energy infrastructure, resources, or oil & gas industries.Qualification or experience in quantity surveying, construction management, or project management.Proven expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management.Experience leading projects and managing cross-functional teams.Ability to guide and delegate tasks, supervising junior team members.Undergraduate degree in commerce, economics, accounting, law, engineering, business, or similar.Strong commercial focus and effective procurement and contract management skills.Ability to influence and engage stakeholders across the business.Adaptability and accountability in tasks and responsibilities.Why join us?Discounted Origin product benefits, including Electrical, Gas, and Internet offers.Flexible working environment.Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, and reviews.Origin 360 Electric Vehicles (EV) employee subscription plans.Free and confidential counselling services for employees and family.A high-energy team that encourages rewarding and engaging work.Origin - Where good change happensWe are committed to fostering a diverse and gender-equitable workforce.
