About The Role We have exciting opportunities for analysts passionate about energy to join our dynamic teams in Settlements and Prudentials. You will play a key role in the financial management and development of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and east-coast gas markets. Positions are available at Analyst and Senior Analyst levels, depending on experience. This role offers broad exposure to market operations and a deep understanding of their intricacies. You will have opportunities to grow and develop within a friendly, diverse, and driven team. Key Responsibilities Manage core operational settlement and prudential activities, ensuring compliance and maintaining documentation. Analyze financial and market data to inform decision-making and enhance transparency. Identify and resolve operational issues efficiently. Contribute to market design activities and IT projects. Assist in implementing new IT functionalities. Lead market enhancement projects and mentor team members at senior levels. Required Skills and Experience Passion for energy and understanding of the sector. Senior Analysts should understand sector changes affecting AEMO. At least 3 years (Analyst) or 6 years (Senior Analyst) in an analytical role within energy, finance, or related industries. Degree in economics, computing, commerce, engineering, science, or related fields. Strong analysis skills, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with databases, SQL, and VBA is advantageous. Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
