Job location Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital just 15 minutes north of the city. Due to our announced expansion across all Directorates, we have a need for experienced like-minded professionals to join our team to support our growing services. Our Directorates include Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations, and our Community Directorate with highly skilled disciplines including Nursing, Lived Experience, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychologists, and Social Work. We have an outstanding L&D and discipline Educator cohort that continually upskills our already skilled and supportive team. About the Role: The Senior Workplace Relations Partner will provide sound and timely workplace relations advice to Managers, coach and partner P&C Business Partners with their directorate portfolios, and manage a full range of workplace relations issues. The Senior Workplace Relations Partner will work closely with the Head of Workplace Relations, Health & Safety to support case management of workplace and industrial relations matters across Forensicare. The role also involves driving policy development in key P&C functions. A priority is to ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures, promoting a positive culture. The position will participate in and lead organisational change projects or other P&C initiatives. Duties: Industrial Relations Provide industrial relations advice to ensure legislative compliance. Workplace Relations Ensure a person-centred approach to case management, balancing process with wellbeing. Coach and support managers on performance and conduct issues, investigations, and disciplinary processes. Assist managers with investigations into unfair treatment, discrimination, bullying, and harassment, providing advice to resolve issues and mitigate risks. Maintain disciplined case management with timely updates to relevant systems and records. Policies and Procedures & Organisational Development Develop and review P&C policies, procedures, and guidelines to support employment terms and conditions. Create resources like toolkits/support materials to enhance management capability. About You: Experience in the health industry is highly regarded. Proven experience in a workplace relations role. Expertise in legislative interpretation and applying regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skills in research, analysis, and policy development. Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and teamwork. Experience advising senior managers on workplace solutions.
