We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries.Position SummaryThe purpose of the OPG Operations Manager is to lead the Operations team to make the right decisions that will positively impact both the personnel and the business unit. As a the leader in operations, it is vital the Operations Manager builds a culture that promotes safety, growth and development within their team, as well as progressing the systems and processes for operations in the region.The Operations Manager will have good operational and technical base knowledge and they will continue to further enhance their inter and intra personnal skills in order to play their role in leading the region operationally. Together with this, they will develop positive relationships with all stakeholders and overcome rewarding challenges, both independently and as a part of the wider team.Duties And ResponsibilitiesSAFETYEnsure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonably practicableto ensure a safe working environment.Promote and lead a strong HSE culture at all timesIntroduce initiatives that are safety driven with the hope of reducing Incidents and hazards in all operations.Participation in the company HSE Observation card, STOP and LSR Self Verification Programs.Use their SWA (Stop Work Authority) to stop a job they may feel is unsafe, in order to prevent an accident/incident occurring.Work and abide by our 6 lifesaving rules: energy isolation, working at heights, suspended loads, radiation, confined space and pressure testing, and practice the fatality prevention behaviours that are associated with each life saving rule.LEADERSHIPDevelop and mentor personnelPromote the higest standard of morals and ethicsCreate and implement development plans for direct reportsHave open communcations with other functions (Projects, Engineering, Bids and Proposals, SCM) in order to execute tasks flawlessly.Track and drive the Technician Competencies and ensure of their completionParticipate in global and regional initiatives as a team leader or a participant.Communicate and collaborate with regional and global peers to implement global and regional policies and best practices.Communicate with your direct reports constantly and maintain open and honest information and feedbackTECHNICALManage the operations teams in delegating work for their assigned scopesOversee the usage of the asset and maintenance management systems to log; equipment maintenance, current asset locations, and equipment certifications.Participate in Project and Engineering meetings as required and delegate attendance when needed.Delegate work to the team.Understand technical work instructions and engineering drawings, including general assembly, P&ID, Electrical and hydraulic schematics and assembly procedures.Lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives that are operated by OceaneeringManage the reporting of Non conformances and cost of poor quality (COPQ), and the Management of Change (MOC) process, as well as all other current or future Project Management Fundamentals processes.Assist with all technical data for jobs such as changes to drawings, schematics, OMMs etc. as required for job.Interface with client representatives where necessaryWork as a positive and collaborative team player, when working in team environments.Maintain credentials and complete required training on-line in Oceneerings chosen Learning Management System (Sum Total).ADDITIONALRun morning Operations toolbox talksParticipate in the review and close out of action items/gaps found in the above mentioned HSE programs (Observation cards, STOP and LSR Self Verification)The list of job duties described above is not exclusive or exhaustive and the employee may be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the job;Assist with any other duties as and when required; andUndertake specific projects as instructed by Supervisors/Management.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has supervisory responsibilities for all Australia based Subsea Technicians reporting through OPG, as well as APAC based OMW technicians reporting through OPG.Key AccountabilitiesEnsure readiness status of all equipment in location of responsibilityEnsure the readiness and competency of all offshore and onshore techniciansRepair and Maintenance cost of equipment.All processes changes or implementation is completed and maintained across area of given responsibility.Key InteractionsAs required, discuss with Operations the readiness of equipment to support upcoming requirements and ongoing projects.As required, discuss with Project Managers the crew selection, preparedness, and overall competency performance.As required, discuss local technical and engineering support, any new or ongoing support requirements.Daily interaction with Global Mobility.QualificationsREQUIREDBachelors degree in Business, Operations, or Management preferred and/OR,Relevant Oilfield experience to include at least three (3) years of Administrative, Office or Operations Management experience;
