Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.RCH enjoys high employee engagement and is committed to staff safety and a positive culture through enactment of our Compact.For further Information on RCH is availablehere .About the RoleThis is a Fixed Term Full Timeposition to cover Parental Leavefor 12 months until 20/07/2026, at 80 hoursper fortnight within the Pharmacy Department .You will be responsible for managing the Compassionate Access Scheme medications and working in the outpatient dispensary.The Compassionate Access Program Pharmacist will be a senior member of the outpatient team who is responsible for the overall leadership of the program with an emphasis on growth and sustainability. There will an emphasis on improving documentation, processes and communication for patients and clinicians that utilise compassionate access medications.Classification for this role is Pharmacist Grade 3 Year 1 - Year 4 (SX6 - SX81) ($108,820.4 -123,905.6 Per Annum + Superannuation + Salary Packaging).What You''ll achieve:Part of the leadership team for outpatient dispensaryWork collaboratively with the senior outpatient pharmacists to deliver a high-quality service for outpatients, compassionate access program and Life-Saving Drug ProgramBe the key liaison point for clinicians, pharmaceutical companies and clinical trials staff on compassionate medication usageDevelop and maintain procedures for the access, storage, prescribing and administration of compassionate medications within the RCHYour Skills and experience:Registered to practice as a pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency & name appear on the register of the Pharmacy Board of Australiaexperience with development of protocols or clinical trialsIf this sounds like you, click here to view the position descriptionAbout The Pharmacy DepartmentWe are a team of around 70 staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrators.
