Role Overview We are seeking a Full Time Permanent leader to join our team based in Sunshine, responsible for shaping vibrant, green, and welcoming open spaces for the community. Reporting to the Manager Parks & Public Realm, you will lead the Open Space Unit, develop policies, plans, and projects, and foster a culture of collaboration and inclusivity. Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver open space, parks, and urban forest outcomes. Develop and implement strategies, policies, and capital works projects. Engage with community and stakeholders to ensure accessible and meaningful outdoor spaces. Manage planning, programming, and project management of capital initiatives. Promote organizational values and behaviors within the team. Qualifications and Skills Relevant tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field, with extensive experience. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in strategy development, policy, and capital project management. Strong organizational and time management skills. Alignment with Brimbank values and behaviors.
