Join to apply for the Casual - Administration and Switchboard role at Healthscope2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Casual - Administration and Switchboard role at HealthscopeCasual Role - SwitchboardMonday - Sunday - 24 hour rotating roster availability requiredAbout The RoleAs a hospital switchboard operator you are required to have excellent customer service skills and will be responsible for accurate and efficient response to all calls made to and from the NBH switchboard and emergency calls.Casual Role - SwitchboardMonday - Sunday - 24 hour rotating roster availability requiredAbout The RoleAs a hospital switchboard operator you are required to have excellent customer service skills and will be responsible for accurate and efficient response to all calls made to and from the NBH switchboard and emergency calls.The switchboard at Northern Beaches Hospital operates 24 hours a day requiring candidates to work a 24hr rotating roster.We are seeking proactive individuals to join our extraordinary team on a part time basis to:Operating hospital switchboard; and DECT and/or smart phone systemsAnswering incoming and outgoing callsDelivering assistance in a polite, clear, well-spoken and calm manner in all circumstancesContacting staff and emergency groups for code calls e.g. cardiac arrest and trauma groupsPerforming routine clerical duties as required by the ManagerProviding an effective, efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors, the public and staff who interact with the switchboard.To Be SuccessfulPrevious experience in a reception or other high-volume call environmentDemonstrated experience in responding to a range of customer enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environmentExceptional communication and customer service skillsDemonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a teamAbility to stay calm in high volume environmentFlexible to work rotating shifts 24/7 roster, generally 2 shifts per week with potential to work more. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Pediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients.NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.Northern Beaches Hospital is a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area.
