The applicant will be part of our expanding service team responsible for onsite maintenance, repairs, and customer support of packaging equipment. The applicant must be reliable, organized, trustworthy, a good communicator and prepared to work in a fast-paced environment. The applicant will be representing Packaging Technics on a customer site maintaining the latest range of Italian packaging technology. Our automated 3D box-making and packaging equipment is the market leader, and we work with all the major online retail companies in Australia.The position is full-time, day shift (with some overtime and occasional weekend work required). The successful applicant will be employed in mechanical/electrical trades, joining our service teams.This position is Sydney-based our customer is in south western suburbs.Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be trained to provide maintenance and support of large-scale packaging machines.The responsibilities of the job role:Using your trade experience, you willPerform preventative maintenance service routines.Diagnose and rectify machine faults.Perform mechanical and electrical disassembly and assembly.Machine installations and relocations.Maintain accurate records associated with services.Experience and skills required:Trade or diploma with at least 5 years of relevant work experienceMechanical / Electrical repair and maintenance experience in a production environmentAbility to repair and demonstrate troubleshooting methods in a timely mannerUnderstanding, knowledge, and experience with production/packaging machineryUnderstanding of automated machinery and ability to work with HMI''sMust be able to perform routine maintenance and setup of machinery.Ability to read manuals, electrical diagrams, drawings and interpret a variety of instructions whether written, oral or diagram form.Ability to work independentlyPC literateA willingness to learn and the drive to become a perfectionistKnowledge of world-leading brands Festo, Allen Bradley, Sick, Data Logic,Telemecanique, Nordson.Outcome orientatedFull or Restricted electrical license Advantage, but not essential.Forklift License Advantage, but not essential.What we offer youCompetitive hourly rateSuperannuation.Laptop computer.Company uniform.Comprehensive training on our equipment.About usPackaging Technics is an independently owned company, specializing in the supply and full-service support of equipment to online retail/e-commerce, packaging and mailing industries.Our office is based in Seven Hills, Sydney.
