Paulsens is located in the Ashburton Basin of the Eastern Pilbara region, 211kms inland east of Onslow and 180km west of Paraburdoo. Flights are to Onslow or Paraburdoo, then a two-hour transport to site.The roster is 15/13, day shift only.About the OpportunityIf you are a motivated, enthusiastic and positive HSE / ERT Coordinator or experienced Medic and Emergency Services Officer seeking an opportunity to be part of a start-up and an ability to expand your career in all facets of HSE, this position is for you!Reporting to the HSE Superintendent and as their 2IC, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of effective HSE systems and processes at PGO, with a focus on emergency management and services, to ensure adequate emergency response personnel numbers and competencies are maintained and compliant.Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Deliver short to medium term plans for Emergency Response Training. Be willing and passionate to train the team you put together, when it is required.Continual improvement to mitigate risks and ensure emergency response preparedness through regular review, auditing and updating of emergency and other HSE procedures, systems and practices. Recommend actions and be part of the solutions!Maintain an active and highly visible presence amongst workgroups promoting a culture of trust and constructive feedback to collaboratively improve HSE outcomes. Be willing to lead and be willing to learn!Provide proactive hands-on assistance and coaching to operational leaders on a range of HSE issues. Equip them with the appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively lead and manage their teams. Work with them in partnership!Ensure continuous readiness of emergency response equipment and facilities.About YouCertificate III Mine Emergency Response and RescueCertificate IV in Training and AssessingCertificate IV Health Care (Ambulance)Demonstrated collaborative attitude through being a visible, caring and engaged leader who is personable and able to act with humility. Trust and honesty are key!Ability to skillfully deliver both theoretical and hands-on, competency-based training.Proven skills and knowledge in the development, implementation, and review of emergency response systems and plans, and legislative and statutory requirements for operations within a mining environment.Strong experience working in an ER/MESO position at a senior level, in a mining environment.
