As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be providing a vital service to customers assessing their current and future health, safety and independence requirements and identify solutions for appropriate housing and modifications. You will exercise professional independence whilst working closely with one or more local housing teams and receive professional support from a Principal Occupational Therapist to deliver these servicesWhat You Will Be DoingWork collaboratively with the local Area Manager/Manager to lead and deliver holistic, place-based and trauma-informed occupational therapy servicesProvide specialist occupational therapy assessment, expertise and advice for customers requiring home modifications, transfers, tenancy management or housingassistanceWork closely with allied health or other service partners to flexibly deliver services to customers on-line, by telephone or in person with a focus on safety, service excellence and quality outcomes.Contribute to the design and review of new accessible social housing propertiesProvide a consultative service to Department staff and other agencies about the housing needs of customers who have a disability, long-term health condition or who are ageingProvide leadership by modelling and fostering professionalism, accountability and ethical behaviourSupport and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning workplace health and safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operationsPrepare and maintain high quality reports and customer records consistent with departmental and professional requirementsContribute to professional development, research, team planning and decisionmaking and the continuous improvement of policies and practicesHave the opportunity to supervise students and mentor new staff.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Occupational group Health - Allied Health/Clinical Support #J-18808-Ljbffr
