Job Title: Mental Health Clinician - ACCHS - Mount Isa, Queensland.Job Type: Permanent Full-Time.Practice Information:This Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service represents the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the Northwest and Lower Gulf regions of Queensland. They are committed to supporting Aboriginal communities own solutions to living long healthy lives, strengthening their culture, and regaining their spirit. The organisations mission is to provide holistic and culturally appropriate health services, underpinned by a philosophy of community participation and a strong focus on care coordination.Their services include a broad range of primary health care and aged care services, making them the largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service provider by land area in Queensland. Their service footprint spans approximately 640,000 km2, serving around 11,000 Indigenous people across two Hospital and Health Service regions (Central West and Northwest), sharing boundaries with the Western Queensland Primary Health Network (WQPHN).Position Description:The Mental Health Clinician reports to the Clinic Manager and is part of the Primary Health Care team.The clinician is responsible for providing evidence-based clinical interventions and care coordination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Mount Isa and Lower Gulf communities with complex difficulties within their scope of practice.The clinician will provide clinical supervision within their competencies and scope of practice.This role involves delivering Mental Health services including engagement, screening, assessment, and care coordination for young people in an evidence-based and effective manner.Organisation Relationships:The clinician reports to the Clinic Manager of Mount Isa and collaborates with visiting clinics and the care team.Effective relationships will also be maintained with local primary health teams and organisations.This position has no line management responsibilities.Selection Criteria:Experience in delivering clinical, evidence-based interventions with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and issues affecting service delivery.Motivation and enthusiasm to establish a new pathway/clinic for clients and families at Gidgee Healing clinics.Proficiency in information management and technology, including electronic client management systems.Ability to work effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and relationships.Qualifications and Experience for Psychologist:Must hold current unconditional general registration with the relevant registration body.Apply Now #J-18808-Ljbffr
