Contribute to delivering on ASIC''s purpose, vision, and strategic priorities to help maintain the integrity of the financial system and protect consumers from harm.ASIC''s Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AiDA) Office is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to provide support for business processes within Data Governance and AiDA.Sydney or Melbourne locationPermanent Full-time PositionSalary from $101,643 to $107,911 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuationApplications will close at 11:59pm AEST, Wednesday 11 June 2025The teamThe Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AiDA) Office is responsible for the management and use of data across ASIC as well as the development and execution of ASIC''s overall data strategy. The team works collaboratively across the organisation to ensure ASIC can fully exploit all relevant data assets, both internal and external, in achieving the ASIC vision. The team oversees data related activities spanning data sourcing, data infrastructure, reporting, data science/analytics and data governance.The roleThe Data Governance Analyst at ASIC supports business processes within Data Governance and AiDA, focusing on analysis, maintenance, and cataloguing. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing ASIC''s Enterprise Data Governance Platform, managing data architectures, and ensuring data quality. The role also involves supporting platform solutions, performing root cause analyses, developing database queries, and maintaining data policies and standards to promote their adoption across ASIC.More Specifically, You WillContribute to the development and implementation of ASIC''s Enterprise Data Governance Platform, including technology and data architectures, data management, data matching, and data quality frameworks.Provide ongoing support for the enterprise data governance platform, including system upgrades and patching.Serve as a subject matter expert for the data governance platform.Conduct root cause analysis to resolve data-related issues as they arise.Develop database queries for data platforms within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and Data Governance Platform (DGP).Maintain and implement data policies, standards, and processes to support the Data Governance Framework and drive adoption across ASIC business units.Share knowledge with team members and data users to enhance data governance capabilities across ASIC.About YouThe ideal candidate for the Data Governance Analyst role at ASIC will possess qualifications or equivalent industry experience in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Management. They should demonstrate a strong eagerness to expand their knowledge and experience in Data Governance. Previous experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Windows administration, and SQL is essential. Additionally, experience with data management practices would also be highly beneficial in this role.In Addition, You Will HaveTertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management, or a related discipline.Proficiency in Linux, Kubernetes, and general system administration.Knowledge of Windows administration.Experience with data management and governance practices/methodologies.Familiarity with Big Data technologies and approaches, including AWS, Azure, Databricks, Python, and Spark.Proficiency in SQL (or equivalent) for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.Familiarity with MDM, Business Intelligence (Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau), and Analytics (Python, R, SAS), with a willingness to further develop these skills.Click apply'' to start your application.Applications will close at 11:59pm AEST, Wednesday 11 June 2025.About ASICASIC''s remit is one of the broadest of regulators across the world.
