Youll have a great understanding of the product offering from one or some of the following: Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba and Arista.The RoleAs a key member of our technical team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and support of network infrastructure for our customers. You will work closely with our senior consultants and the sales team to deliver innovative and secure solutions. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work and collaboration with internal teams and clients. This role offers opportunities for growth within Vectec. In this role, youll be expected to acknowledge and agree to comply with all policies, procedures, and controls established by Vectec to achieve and maintain compliance with the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard for information security management systems (ISMS).What you will be doingNetwork Design & Implementation: Collaborate on the design and take ownership of the implementation of network solutions and delivering projects that meet customer requirements.Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide proactive support during and post-project implementations, quickly resolving technical issues to ensure smooth operation.Documentation & Quality Control: Develop and maintain high-quality, detailed customer-facing deliverables to facilitate the handover of projects.Customer Interaction: Work with customer and internal teams to understand project needs, participate in technical discussions, and ensure customer satisfaction.Knowledge Sharing: Lead technical handovers and knowledge-sharing sessions with customers to ensure seamless project transitions.Continuous Development: Stay current with industry technology and demonstrate capability through vendor certifications.Networking Skills: Proficiency in a variety of networking technologies is essential, including but not limited to Palo Alto PRISMA & Firewalls, Cisco Routing and Switching, Cisco Wireless, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Meraki, Cisco SD-WAN, HPE Aruba wired and wireless networking.Modern Network Security Technology: Familiarity with modern technologies such as SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and NDR (Network Detection and Response) is also mandatory.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for documentation and collaboration.Vendor Certifications: Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, and/or Aruba certifications are highly valued and demonstrate your commitment to professional growth.Experience & QualificationsThe essentials for successMinimum 7 Years: Proven experience in a network engineering role with an excellent understanding of networking principles and practical applications.Project Experience: Demonstrated ability to independently deliver network solutions within medium to large enterprise environments.Delivery Methodologies: Comfortable working within both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.Vendor Relationships: Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, ensuring successful project outcomes.The nice to havesSolution Design & Presentation: Experience in scoping, developing, and presenting IT technology solutions to clients and stakeholders.Cloud Security Expertise: Proficiency with cloud security products, with a proven understanding of best practices in securing cloud environments.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation Technology and EngineeringIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting, IT System Operations and Maintenance, and Computer and Network SecurityReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at VECTEC by 2xSign in to set job alerts for Network Engineer roles.Sydney, New South Wales, Australia 3 weeks ago #J-18808-Ljbffr
