Attractive hourly rate/remuneration and Serco benefitsWorking hours are lifestyle-friendly no weekend work early start and finish each dayThursday and FridayAbout the RoleIn this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting, supporting the diverse mental health needs of military members. Referrals will come from various sources, including the member, medical team, and Command, offering diversity in presentations and support requests. Your support begins with initial intake and assessment, with flexibility to accommodate presenting needs. There is scope for using psychometrics and engaging in treatment that leverages your skills, interests, and scope of practice. You will have autonomy to manage your caseload, including oversight and case management of externally referred cases and providing internal treatment to Defence members. Additionally, your management of crisis presentations, risk assessment, and risk management planning is supported within a multidisciplinary team.To be successful in this role, you will have:The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health within a primary health or specialist mental health setting, undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and delivering a range of evidence-based Focussed Psychological Strategies as defined under the Medicare Schedule.Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies, procedures, and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable).About Singleton Health CentreLocated at the Singleton Military Area, approximately 1 hour northwest of Newcastle, the Singleton Health Centre is where infantry soldiers complete their initial employment training. The health centre provides primary medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services.
