Fraud InvestigatorRole Title: Fraud Investigator Role Type: 1 x Ongoing Full-Time Location: SydneySalary range for SNSW Grade 7/8: $102,899 - $121,317, plus superannuation and leave loadingAbout the Role: The Fraud Investigations & Management team play s a critical role to ensure integrity and effectiveness of Service NSW grants, rebates and voucher administration programs and the as s essm ent of payments. As the Fraud Investigator , you will p repare and undertake complex compliance and investigation for Service NSW Programs and activities . Day to day activities include assess ment and investigat ion of escalated and referrals of fraud to provide a high level of expertise in the delivery of multi-faceted risk-based outcomes for the protection of the public, businesses and communities in NSW. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include prepare and undertake complex investigation activities through the delivery of programs and transactions to ensure compliance to applicable legislation and regulations . Research, analyse, collate information, and identify trends and policy issues from internal and external sources to provide recommendations regarding, legislative non-compliance and/or fraud identification, investigation and evidentiary processes to inform decision making. Support the team to participate in litigation where appropriate to ensure the provision of effective representation on behalf of the organisation. About the Team: The SNSW Fraud Management Team comprises of t wo distinct teams: Fraud Investigation - reviews alleged, suspected, or detected incidents of fraud, and escalat es cases to law enforcement including r epresenting SNSW in courts proceedings; and Fraud Intelligence and Data Analysis- proactively identifies tactical intelligence through analysis, continuous improvement opportunities through trends, patterns and methods impacting current and future environments. About You: A team player with a curious mind, unbiased and unprejudiced mindset and inclusive in a high-volume dynamic work environment . Prepare and undertake complex compliance and investigation activities that include Grants, Rebates and Voucher and other programs to enhance compliance. Undertake proactive compliance operations to stay ahead of potential issues. Stay up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, setting a standard of exemplary investigatory and regulatory practice s for the NSW community. Gather, review, and maintain accurate records, documents, submissions, and reports, recommending appropriate actions to decision-makers while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate : Certificate IV (Government) Investigations or similar qualification. Ability to obtain a minimum B ase L ine secur ity Clearance Level Significant experience in conducting high-quality complex investigations into criminal fraud with an aptitude to identify operational risks. A track record of successfully conducting investigation, gathering evidence, and preparing prosecution briefs. Good working knowledge of criminal law, rules of evidence, criminal procedures, and administrative law. Familiarity with electronic Investigation Case Management Systems, enhancing your efficiency and effectiveness. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effortlessly engage with internal and external stakeholders.
