Our business has recently revisited our values with purpose of globalising an iconic Australian brandThe Opportunity:The Demand Planner is responsible for leading the development and alignment of demand forecasts across channels, ensuring robust integration with commercial strategies and supply planning. This role plays a critical part in enabling accurate planning decisions, optimising inventory, and supporting business performance through collaborative cross-functional engagement.Key Responsibilities:Demand Forecasting & PlanningOwn the end-to-end forecasting process by channel, ensuring alignment across baseline, promotional, seasonal, and innovation (NPD)volumes.Conduct regular channel reviews to assess forecast performance, risks, and opportunities.Utilise forecasting tools (e.g. Blueshift) and historical sales data to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and process efficiency.Proactively incorporate rationalisation plans, seasonal trends, and product lifecycle changes into forcasts.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Sales, Marketing, Category, and SRGM to translate promotional calendars, market activity, and new product launches into demand assumptions.Lead the seasonal planning process, ensuring forecasts align with commercial commitments and supply readiness.Reconcile customer contractual commitments with demand plans to support reliable supply planning and service delivery.Forecast Performances & AnalysisAnalyse forecast accuracy and bias, conduct month-on-month forecast change reviews, and recommend corrective actions.Leverage internal and external data sources (e.g. market insights, customer POS data) to improve forecast models and assumptions.Forecast Governance & S&OELead demand inputs into weekly S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) forums.Communicate and justify forecast changes, particularly those impacting the locked supply horizon or creating abnormal demand scenarios.Support decision-making in constrained supply environments by providing demand clarity and scenario inputs.Inventory & Cash FlowWork in partnership with Supply Planning to ensure demand plans support inventory targets, cash flow optimisation, and minimisationof obsolescence.Provide forward visibility to guide procurement and production planning based on demand signals.The successful candidate will have:Tertiary Qualified in Business (or similar) or Finance (accounting).Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint skills, high level system use, ability to present to an audience.Successful track record working in FMCG across Supply or Demand Planning.Established reputation as a high achiever with strong understanding of supply chain end to end.Strong planning & organisation skills, and attention to detail.Ability to build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work autonomously.Self-lead with the ability to influence across all levels of internal stakeholders.Highly resourceful, independent and proactive.Confident analytical and reporting skills.Organised approach to tasks.Able to follow direction whilst working in a proactive and independent manner.Adaptable to change and work within a high pace environment.Our Culture:Our employees come from all walks of life, across many cultures and backgrounds.
