The Role An exciting career opportunity as an Operations Supervisor at the Valley Heights Bus Depot is now available. This role offers the chance to work with a highly skilled team focused on achieving positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage shift rosters, ensuring proper allocation of drivers and buses to manage fatigue and payroll. Ensure service delivery meets contractual KPIs. Oversee yard staff activities, including fueling buses and maintaining records. Monitor fuel supplies and deliveries at the depot. Ensure punctual attendance and professional appearance of drivers. Allocate buses and drivers for rail replacements and charters, managing fatigue and payroll. Respond to incidents by reallocating resources and updating systems. Investigate accidents/incidents, review CCTV footage, and document findings. Supervise staff performance and enforce disciplinary standards. Ensure compliance with the Traffic Management Plan. Coordinate with OCC regarding driver and bus provisions during incidents. Manage accident/incident reporting, CCTV documentation, and record keeping. Communicate effectively with Depot/Service Delivery Managers and collaborate across sites. Report vehicle defects and complete shift reports promptly. Optimize overtime use and manage lost property procedures. Review cleaning standards and ensure safety protocols are followed. Monitor bus fleet on-time performance using PTIPS and maintain KPIs. Coordinate with mechanical staff regarding breakdowns and faults. Minimum Requirements Logical thinking, calmness under pressure, and professional service orientation. Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Problem-solving skills and cultural sensitivity. Proficiency in computer skills and adaptability to new technologies. Pre-employment medical assessment clearance.
