Summary Provides nursing care based on biological, physical, and psycho-social sciences, utilizing evidence and nursing theory. Manages resources and coordinates care to restore and maintain health for patients, families, and the community. Minimum Education Requirements Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) Applicants with an Associates degree must obtain BSN within three years of employment Graduate of an accredited nursing program (CCNE or ACEN) Current Ohio RN license Experience and Training PRN RNs require at least one year recent experience in the practice area One year RN experience required for weekend positions Additional experience for specialty units Skills and Competencies Full range of motion, handling, lifting, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination Extended standing and walking Normal vision and hearing, stress management, working irregular hours Exposure to hazards, communicable diseases, body fluids, and toxic substances Current BLS certification; ACLS required within six months for critical care areas Population Specific Competency Additional certifications may be required for specialty areas (e.g., PALS, NIHSS) Ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations Physical Demands Heavy exertion, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently Additional Information Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Salary: $33.00/hr - $52.00/hr, based on experience and location Employment Details Seniority level: Not Applicable Part-time employment Job function: Healthcare Provider Industry: Hospitals and Healthcare Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Summa Health by 2x.
