Location: MudgeeDepartment: FinanceEmployment type: Full-TimePROCUREMENT OFFICERWhat we are looking forDetail-oriented person with fantastic attention to detail while maintaining a big picture viewService-minded and a great communicatorExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAn analytical thinkerA relationship builderA strong sense of integrityResilienceThis is an exciting opportunity to work with an ever-changing dynamic team within the Mid-Western Regional Council.This role is full-time, based onsite in Mudgee with options for flexible working arrangements.The salary range for this full-time position is $3,151 - $3,547 gross per fortnight plus superannuation, which equates to an annual salary of $81,946 - $92,222 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience).Key AccountabilitiesAssist and provide interpretation guidance for all procurement, contracts, and contact management activities & processes, including but not limited to RFT documentation, RFQ documentation, specification development, and drafting contracts for internal & external customers.Assist in the management and maintenance of eProcurement systems, Councils procurement framework, Contract Management Framework, and associated tools, policies, and procedures.Monitor Councils recurring tendering program and assist departments in developing and achieving their annual procurement plans.Provide exceptional customer service to both internal staff and external suppliers, including responding to inquiries, providing information, and referring as required in an effective and responsive manner.Assist in training Council staff and/or Service Providers on Procurement and Contract Management matters as directed.Assist in managing Contractors according to Councils Contractor Management Policy.Monitor and update Councils Contracts Register and other legislative reporting requirements as needed.About Mudgee:The Mudgee Region offers outstanding tourist attractions, investment opportunities, and lifestyle benefits, all just 3.5 hours from Sydney.
