Were seeking passionate professionals to operate and maintain underground stations and tunnel systems, shaping Melbournes rail network for future generations.About the RoleAs part of the CYP Asset Management Services team, the Discipline Maintenance Manager oversees maintenance programs for Mechanical services, supporting both mobilisation and long-term maintenance phases. The role ensures compliance with legislation, regulations, contractual obligations, and rail accreditation standards. The successful candidate must obtain a Rail Industry Worker qualification supported by John Holland and be available during key shutdowns, maintenance activities, and out-of-hours work.ResponsibilitiesDuring the Mobilisation PhaseWitness testing and document outcomes during testing and commissioning.Attend OCC walks across tunnel and station locations.Review and validate O&M Manuals, develop procedures, and integrate documentation into systems.Use systems and mobile tools for asset validation and documentation.Participate in maintenance trials and validation activities.Assist in procurement activities related to technical scoping.Complete required training and ensure CMMS data accuracy.Induct and qualify contractors and personnel.Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure safety compliance.During the Maintenance PhaseSupervise Mechanical maintenance activities.Liaise with Metro Trains Melbourne for work execution.Manage maintenance scheduling, resources, and workflow.Oversee site inspections and compliance.Prepare performance and compliance reports.Qualifications and ExperienceTrade qualification or relevant discipline experience.Leadership, subcontractor management, and budgeting experience.Knowledge of maintenance practices, industry regulations, and safety standards.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and on-call.Rail industry experience or similar safety-critical environment.Strong stakeholder management and contractual knowledge.Why Join Us?Were committed to diversity, inclusion, and long-term careers.
