The General Manager Innovation & Engagement will play a pivotal role in strengthening Councils organisational settings, leading its digital transformation agenda, and driving engagement strategies that support the Bass Coast narrativeboth internally and across the region. With a newly structured executive team and a dynamic cohort of emerging leaders, this role will be key in building performance, culture, and cohesion across the directorate.You will provide strategic advice and operational leadership to enable delivery of the Council Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan, embed strong governance practices, and support the Mayor and Councillors in navigating complex political and community matters. As a people leader, you will bring visibility, clarity and coaching capability to uplift team potential and guide the organisation through change with calm, confidence, and integrity.To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced or emerging executive with proven capability in transformation, financial oversight, and strategic engagement gained within local government or in an aligned sector such as state government, education, health, water, or regulatory bodies.
