This is a content-focused, commercially driven role, ideal for someone eager to learn about technology, financial services, and government innovation. You will be supported by experienced team members throughout the conference program development process and will report to the head of production.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct market and stakeholder research (desk-based and telephone), with support from senior producers, to identify trends, emerging technologies, and sector-specific challenges in financial services and government.Providethoughtful andconstructivefeedback on conferenceagenda topicscurated by theHead of Productionto help refineand enhance content.Support the identification, invitation, and coordination of senior-level speakers, including C-suite executives, government officials, and technology leaders, with mentorship from experienced colleagues.Assist in project managing the production process from concept to onsite delivery, including timeline and milestone tracking, with direction and oversight from the head of production.Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to help maximise delegate and sponsor engagement, and ensure seamless event execution.Contribute to the innovation of event formats and engagement strategies, incorporating new technologies and interactive elements, with input from the wider team.Maintain accurate records of events and speaker information using CRM and workflow tools (e.g., HubSpot and Trello), with training and support provided.Attend and support onsite (virtual and in-person) event delivery, ensuring high-quality execution and stakeholder satisfaction.Assist in reporting on event progress and outcomes to senior management, with guidance from experienced producers.Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Business, Economics, Journalism, or a related field (recent graduates welcome).Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a willingness to learn how to translate findings into commercially viable conference content.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting for event collateral and marketing materials.Strong organisational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with support from the team.High attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset, with a willingness to learn about KPIs and profitability targets.Willingness to travel for event delivery and research as required.Prefered AttributesInterest in technology and its impact on financial institutions and government agencies.Creativity and willingness to contribute new ideas to event formats and engagement strategies.Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to relationship-building and stakeholder management.Positive, solutions-focused attitude and eagerness to learn and develop professionally.What We OfferCompetitive salary and superannuation contributionsLeave loading and an additional day off for your birthdayOpportunities for business travel across Australia and New ZealandCollaborative, innovative, and supportive team environmentThe chance to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to the future of financial services and government technology events in the APAC regionHow to Apply:Please send your cover letter and CV to Murali Ramesh atmurali.ramesh@fstmedia.com.auFST Media is an equal opportunity employer.
