Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Location: Sydney Type: Permanent, full-time position Hybrid role, flexible working options available The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Services Specialist to join our Data and Analytics division. You will integrate, format, and present analyses and data visualisations to communicate results and insights to various business users. Your new role You will be part of a chapter, building the data and analytics platform, working with different functions to develop data pipelines, understand core system data structures, and support machine learning models by engineering features. You will be an expert in data engineering, including new technologies, data pipeline development, data modelling, and analysis. Responsibilities include: Designing and developing data engineering assets and scalable feature engineering frameworks. Expanding data platform capabilities by sourcing and integrating new data sources. Implementing process improvements such as automation and infrastructure redesign. Peer reviewing code, promoting DevOps culture, and adhering to architecture best practices. Developing ETL solutions using Python, Databricks, Spark, and Azure technologies. About You You should have proven experience in data management, solution design, and delivery, with strong communication skills and stakeholder influence. Knowledge of the data lifecycle, data quality, and a passion for learning new tools are essential. You will have: Experience with MS Stack: SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, SQL. Experience with MongoDB, Graph databases, programming languages (R, Python, Spark), CI tools, GitHub, Jira, Confluence. Leadership experience in managing data teams. Ability to work independently and in Agile teams. Strong understanding of data lifecycle and quality management.
