Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay thatproduce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets, with an extension of an additional pit at Moorvale South, adding to our coal production.About the role:Peabody Energy is seeking a qualified and motivatedElectrical Leading Handto join our Coppabella Mine Maintenance team. This frontline leadership role supports the Electrical Supervisor by performing and supervising electrical works across both field and mobile equipment. You will play a critical role in improving equipment reliability and availability through planned and reactive maintenance, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Electrical Supervisor role with either electrical work or supervision of personnel as required.Provide technical direction for electrical fault finding, installations, and inspectionsExecute and support electrical work in accordance with site procedures and safety requirementsWork in accordance with relevant legislation, Safety Management Plans, and site safety procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.Manage unplanned breakdowns and execute preventative maintenance activitiesInitiate and manage work orders and defect notifications in SAPCollaborate closely with the Production and Maintenance teams to achieve operational targetsStep into the Electrical Supervisor role when needed, ensuring continuity of leadership and support for the electrical teamPromote a culture of safety, teamwork, and performance among crew electriciansThe lifestyle:This position is offered on a 7 Days On and 7 Days Off (Day only) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or salary sacrificed FIFO lifestyle.
