You will initiate the development and execution of sourcing strategies in line with the category plan to drive commercial value for the business over both short- and medium-term horizons while also managing risks associated with their category.Banking is changing and were changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, youll be building your future, while helping to build ours.Role Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, Full-timeRole Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008What will your day look like?In this role, you willUnderstand the nature of the supply base (national/regional/global) and the competitive forces of the supply marketFulfil the business needs in line with category strategy, through conducting a vigorous approach to procuring goods and service ensuring the supply decision results in the appropriate balance of cost and qualityDevelop pipeline of opportunities in conjunction with key business stakeholders/Contract Owners based on contract expiryCollaborate with the Category Manager to identify gaps in the category, emerging goods/services within the area, size of price/opportunity and feasibility of goods/servicesOrchestrate the sourcing process, including determining the sourcing strategy, executing the appropriate due diligence required, conducting market/supplier analysis, price benchmarking and conducting the negotiation processInteract with internal stakeholders, including project, Business, Legal, Risk and Vendors in order to facilitate sourcing outcomesWork collaboratively across Procurement (PEC, AUS, NZ & Pacific, and APEA) and business stakeholders, Legal, Finance etc. to deliver opportunities related to third party spendProactive management of portfolio incl. contract expiry and sourcing pipeline to meet annual and quarterly plansPursue commercial excellence through continuous improvement to help achieve procurement and business targets and demand savings opportunitiesMaintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to become highly trusted category and market expert, trusted with commercial support, negotiations and on-going value identificationMaintain accurate and comprehensive project plans, manage milestones, workspace data in AribaKeep abreast of market and supplier advancements, market dynamics, manage appropriate external networks, spend analysis and opportunity insights and adviceWhat will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Experience in management of Technology contracts and commercial procurement engagements (in particular, Software & associated Services, IT Professional Services, Compute & Cloud Infrastructure)Experience in delivering contract management related continuous improvement initiativesStrategic thinker to problem solve within highly complex and ambiguous situationsStrong communicator, stakeholder and relationship management; and results orientatedUnderstands risks and appropriate control optionsStrong commercial acumen with ability to analyze cost vs risk trade-offs, shape deal economicsHigh level of commercial acumen and strong negotiations skillsAligning Category and Sourcing/Contracting Strategy to Business StrategiesUnderstanding of broader business context and translating into key priorities for Procurement to supportUnderstanding supply market dynamics, Third Party Risk and Regulatory requirements, external leading practice, market trends relevant to spend areasUnderstanding of end to end procurement lifecycle management across Strategy, Source to Contract, Supplier Relationship Management through to Req. to PayYoure not expected to have 100% of these skills.
