Flexible working arrangements are available to all staff in the Telco Authority.Total Remuneration Package from $225,000 including superannuation, commensurate with experience.About the RoleAs the Director of Property, Asset Management, and Environment, you''ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a dynamic and expanding portfolio valued at over $1 billion. Youll lead the strategic planning and management of NSW Telco Authority''s critical infrastructure, including our property, environment, and asset portfolio . In this role you will be responsible for ensuring our portfolio is aligned with current needs and future demands, while advancing the NSW Governments strategic asset management objectives.This is a unique opportunity to embed environmental planning and sustainability into asset management strategies and practices. You will champion the adoption of innovative commercial models, drive operational excellence, and harness emerging technologies to drive leading asset and property outcomes for a mission critical network that supports first responders and communities across NSW.Role ResponsibilitiesShape and lead the strategic development and optimisation management of the organisations property portfolio, ensuring it meets current and future operational, regulatory, and stakeholder needs. Oversee the management of a large, complex, and expanding portfolio of assets, ensuring compliance with NSW Government strategic objectives.Develop and embed risk-based asset stratification frameworks to inform investment prioritisation, guide lifecycle management strategies, and support evidence-based decision-making.Embed environmental and sustainability principles into integrated asset management plans and strategies, ensuring alignment with the NSW Treasury Asset ManagementPolicy and broader government prioritiesProvide expert guidance in the design and execution of robust asset management frameworks, programs, systems, and processes that drive performance, resilience and efficienciesDrive the implementation and continuous improvement of of the property strategy, including innovative commercial models that support effective lifecycle management and operational excellence .Develop and support the application of sophisticated financial models and analysis to evaluate major assets investments, and and inform evidence based decision making and planning for efficient lifecycle management of major assets.Lead the Authoritys environmental and sustainability governance overseeing sustainability initiatives including, climate change management and carbon footprint reporting.Drive and deliver best practices in asset management, leveraging emerging tools such as predictive analytics, digital twin technology and Artificial Intelligence to inform proactive decision-making and optimise performance.Does This Sound Like You?You are a strategic and solutions focused leader with extensive experience in property and asset management, underpinned by a substantial understanding of asset lifecycle principles and delivery. With a proven track record of leading commercial and property functions in fast-paced, high-volume, and complex environments, you bring a sharp commercial mindset and operational excellence. Ideally, you also offer sound knowledge of environmental planning and sustainability, paired with the ability to lead through change, foster cross-sector collaboration, and consistently deliver results.You thrive in dynamic environments that require frequent context switching, from strategic influencing to hands-on tactical engagement, across telecommunications, construction, between state and federal government, and across emergency and essential services, digital and customer experience.
