Major Defence Infrastructure Project - Darwin, NTTier 2 Civil Contractor | Strategic Leadership Role | Permanent PositionOur client is a highly regarded Tier 2 civil contractor with a national footprint and an enviable reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across government, defence, and industrial sectors. With a major, multi-year defence project now underway in Darwin, they are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager to play a pivotal leadership role across the program.The RoleReporting to executive leadership, this senior-level position will oversee multiple work packages and lead a team of project managers and engineers across a strategically important defence infrastructure build. The role will involve high-level stakeholder engagement, governance reporting, and leadership across planning, safety, cost, and program performance.Key Responsibilities:Oversight of multiple concurrent civil project scopes within the broader defence programLead, mentor, and guide project managers, site teams, and support functionsCoordinate all stages of delivery: planning, construction, QA, and handoverEnsure program milestones, budgets, and compliance benchmarks are achievedDrive client and stakeholder engagement, including defence and government bodiesEnsure defence protocols, reporting frameworks, and security requirements are metWork collaboratively with HSEQ, commercial, and procurement teams across the businessAbout You:Minimum 20 years'' experience in civil infrastructure, ideally across defence, industrial, government, or complex multi-stakeholder projectsProven success in managing large-scale or multi-package civil construction programsDemonstrated leadership of project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholder interfacesStrong commercial acumen, program control, and technical understandingAbility to thrive in a high-compliance, high-performance environmentWillingness to be based in or relocate to Darwin for the duration of the projectDefence project experience or NV1 clearance (or eligibility) will be highly regardedDesired Skills and ExperienceMinimum 20 years'' experience in civil infrastructure, ideally across defence, industrial, government, or complex multi-stakeholder projectsProven success in managing large-scale or multi-package civil construction programsDemonstrated leadership of project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholder interfacesStrong commercial acumen, program control, and technical understandingAbility to thrive in a high-compliance, high-performance environmentWillingness to be based in or relocate to Darwin for the duration of the projectDefence project experience or NV1 clearance (or eligibility) will be highly regarded #J-18808-Ljbffr
