SnrLegal Counsel (Compliance) & Asst CoSJoin to apply for the SnrLegal Counsel (Compliance) & Asst CoS role at SunRice GroupAbout The RoleThe Senior Legal Counsel (Compliance) and Assistant Company Secretary will play a critical role in ensuring the SunRice Groups compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including those pertaining to ASX reporting and corporate governance. Reporting to both the General Counsel & Company Secretary and the Head of Legal, this role involves supporting Group-wide policy and training initiatives to support compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. Duties include:Oversee the preparation and review of regulatory filings, annual reports, and corporate disclosures.Company Secretarial ResponsibilitiesSupport the Company Secretary with end-to-end Board and Committee meeting processes, including review and distribution of papers, meeting facilitation, minute-taking, and liaising with Directors/Chair.Assist in preparing, reviewing, and lodging ASX announcements, including disclosures under continuous disclosure obligations (Annual Reports, Corporate Governance Statements, etc.).Risk ManagementIdentify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across the business.Conduct training sessions for employees on compliance, governance, and legal best practices.About YouWe seek a skilled legal counsel with company secretarial experience in an ASX-listed organization. The ideal candidate will have:Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably from a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.Extensive knowledge of ASX Listing Rules, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks.Proven experience advising on compliance and managing disclosures.Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).Admission as a solicitor in Australia and a current practicing certificate.AICD or similar governance qualification (desirable).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with executives and Board members.Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous learning mindset.All correspondence will be handled confidentially.
