These provide perception, positioning, vehicle autonomy, and site orchestration technologies to support autonomous solutions in agriculture, mining, automotive, and marine sectors.Mining: Our mining technologies offer surveying, design, fleet management, production optimization, and collision avoidance in a comprehensive, life-of-mine solution that connects people and processes, reduces costs, and enhances safety and productivity on mine sites.ResponsibilitiesThe PositionReporting to the Vice President, Division General Counsel, and Division Compliance Officer based in the USA, and part of the global corporate services team, we are seeking to recruit an In-house Legal Counsel/Legal Secretary for the Hexagon Mining APAC region.As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will provide insightful, focused, and risk-based legal guidance aligned with commercial and strategic business objectives. You will also be responsible for maintaining company registers, drafting resolutions, and preparing board minutes.You will develop, draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial contractual agreements and government procurement transactions, working closely with key stakeholders to offer pragmatic, business-oriented solutions that manage legal risks and support business growth.As part of a global legal and compliance team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, finance, and HR leaders on initiatives that align regional practices with global corporate governance standards.QualificationsAbout youWe seek an experienced In-house Counsel/Legal Counsel ready to advance their career by applying their expertise in commercial and business law as a strategic business partner within our leadership team, supporting our expansion and operational efficiency growth.Ideally, candidates will possess the following skills or attributes:A Bachelor of Law or Juris Doctor from an accredited university and a license to practice in your jurisdictionExperience in corporate commercial law, preferably within mining, technology, or IT software/servicesStrong business acumen with the ability to understand commercial demandsExperience with sales lifecycle environments and various contractual models is desirable but not essentialExperience working in a global business context, especially across APAC markets, is desirable but not essentialAbility to foster a collaborative culture among internal and external stakeholdersAbility to lead and influence positive changeValid Australian working rights Permanent Resident or Australian CitizenAt Hexagon, we are a fast-growing, innovative, and dynamic company offering endless opportunities.
