The opportunityDelaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Painter to join our team on a 6-month contract at Mindil Beach Casino Resort, the ultimate entertainment destination in the Northern Territory. Just a few steps away from some of the most beautiful National Parks in Australia where hiking, camping, or fishing take on a whole new meaning.THE OFFICE - A vibrant casino resort set amid 30 acres of tropical gardens and located right on the beach, just a three-minute drive from the CBD.THE TEAM - We are focused on growing a team that enjoys each other''s company and loves creating the best work possible.TRAINING - Thanks to the Delaware North global network, we have access to thousands of online courses and resources.EXTRAS - Employees are entitled to a complimentary meal every shift, complimentary parking, and generous discounts on spa treatments, dining, and accommodation.What will you do?Apply paint, including special systems, to walls, furniture, and structures.Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint through blasting, scraping, sanding, or steam cleaning.Maintain and inspect painted surfaces, including walls, trim, and fixtures, ensuring proper upkeep and refurbishment.Perform wood finishing and patching as needed, including applying wallpaper, plasterboard, fabric, and other materials to walls.Manage paint supplies and materials, including ordering and matching paint samples for touch-ups and repairs.More about youIndustry experience post trade as a painter; plasterer experience also advantageous.Sound understanding of painting techniques and construction methodologies.Proficient in the use of power tools, battery tools, and all hand tools related to maintenance tasks.Proven experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work occasional weekends when required.Who we areMindil Beach Casino Resort is the leading entertainment destination in the Northern Territory, offering over 600 gaming machines, exciting table games, and diverse dining options.
