Residential Monitor - Harbor Light Complex Corrections ProgramJoin to apply for the Residential Monitor - Harbor Light Complex Corrections Program role at The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory.Position OverviewThe Residential Facility Monitors are responsible for the safety and monitoring of the Harbor Light Complex and its surrounding grounds, including the mini-park and parking lot.CompensationThis position pays $16.00/hr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter for more details.ResponsibilitiesRelieve the previous shift and ensure all records, logs, and reports are updated and complete.Document any incomplete records, citing reasons before relieving on-duty personnel.Answer incoming calls and direct messages as necessary.Log visitors and their purposes during entry and exit.Record and report unusual incidents, including sickness, fires, thefts, and misconduct.Conduct searches of residents and belongings, notify supervisors if contraband is found, and complete Incident Reports.Assist with or conduct resident headcounts and bed checks, and report if a resident is AWOL.Monitor residents for intoxication or abnormal behavior, conduct Alco-Sensor tests, and report findings.Assist with collecting urinalysis specimens and conducting room searches.Supervise resident house duties, transport residents or packages if needed, and ensure keys are accounted for.Coordinate with detox, outpatient, or emergency shelter personnel for admissions.Search persons and packages for contraband, deliver packages, and perform other duties as instructed.Attend required training sessions and participate in client/staff activities.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED.Experience in security is beneficial.Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely.Ability to use stairs and perform building evacuations.Good communication skills; current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.Valid drivers license and positive attitude towards the programs and staff.Respectful language and pro-social behavior; maintain appropriate boundaries.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
