MFC Community Legal Centre now open at 304 Oxide Steet Broken HillFor all enquiries Call: (08) 8088 2020 or Email: clcfarwest@malleefamilycare.com.auMallee Family Care is providing Flood Relief Support Services.For all relief enquiries for Southern Mallee.Call: (03) 5032 4479 Or Email: mfc@malleefamilycare.com.auCareers and Current Job VacanciesSpecialist Support Coordinator (NDIS)Locations: MilduraTenure: Full Time or Part Time Fixed Term ContractSalary: $88,378 - $105,047 (pro rata Part Time)Applications Close: 5.00pm Wednesday 11th June 2025Position Description: Specialist Support Coordinator (NDIS)This is a 12 month Fixed Term positionMallee Family Care, as a NDIS registered provider, offers a range of support services to people with permanent and significant functional impairment (resulting from psycho-social, physical, sensory, neurological, cognitive and/or intellectual disability), who have approved NDIS Individually funded plans (NDIS participants).As a member of the Intake and Support Coordination Team, this position will support participants by:Adhering to the principles of a rights-based approach, delivered with respect and integrity and a high standard of customer service.Working in a way that is reflective of and grounded in Mallee Family Care values and principles.Building productive and positive relationships with participants and key stakeholders to enhance participant capacity and a partnership approach.The Specialist Support Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing support coordination within a specialist framework, necessitated by specific high-level risks in the participants situation. This support is time limited and focuses on addressing barriers and reducing complexity in the support environment, while assisting the participant to connect with supports and build capacity and resilience. The Support Coordinator will work with participants to build individual capacity to:Research, coordinate, manage and implement a range of services and supports in accordance with the participants individually funded plan.Achieve the goals and outcomes identified in the participants plan.Connect the participant with formal, mainstream and funded supports.Promote participant empowerment, choice and control and community inclusionReduce complexity and build capacity in the participant or their support systemsThe position may also be required, from time to time, to undertake NDIS related intake and assessment responsibilities.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Developmental Education or health related fieldExperience working with people living with a psycho-social, physical, sensory, neurological, cognitive and/or intellectual disability.Current Drivers Licence.For you to be considered for this role, all applications must be submitted with a Cover Letter, Resume and the Key Selection Criteria addressed, which can be found in the position description.For more information regarding this position please contact Maree Fullgrabe Human Resource Manager on 5023 5966We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we work and live.
