The FRP is a key component of the headspace Early Psychosis program.As the Groups & Activities Coordinator, you will support and empower young people by coordinating and delivering group-based programs designed to enhance functional recovery, personal development, and overall well-being. This role will be responsible for ensuring that programs focus on young people''s goals, encouraging recovery-oriented practices and fostering strong relationships within a multidisciplinary team.To be successful in this role you will have:Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, youth work, or a related fieldExperience working with young people, particularly in mental health or social services settings.Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and facilitating group programs focused on mental health, social skills, and personal developmentStrong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead group sessions and engage participants.Ability to effectively promote, coordinate, and facilitate recovery-oriented practices with young people and their familiesDemonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, staff and stakeholders, particularly Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, in order to improve outcomesNote: The filling of this position is intended to constitute a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), section 57 of the Antidiscrimination Act 1996 (NT) and section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.Special Measures vacancies are open to everyone including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
