While predominately based at one of the four (4) Racecourses, the Groundsperson, grade 1 may be rostered to perform work on occasion at any of the four (4) Club sites Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park, Warwick Farm Racecourses.DAY TO DAY, THE ROLE WILL:Undertake general maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, tracks, gardens and maintenance instructionsOperate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, front end loader forklift, power sweepers, power harrows, brush cutters, hedgers, push mowers and general spray operationsConduct routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, artificial and other surfacesWorking hours: 8:15am 4:45pmTHE RIGHT FITTo be successful in the role, the right fit will have the following experience and capability:Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in turf management;General operational and mechanical maintenance skills;Appropriate licences to operate specialist machinery such as a manual vehicle, front end loader and forklifts (as applicable);Experience in operating plant and equipment including Bobcat, Grader and Excavator would be desirable;Sound knowledge and practical experience of handling and spraying chemicals;A demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team;Sound verbal and interpersonal communication skills;Sound literacy and numeracy skillsIf you believe you are the right fit and demonstrate our values, come, and join us.To apply, visit: close on Thursday 03 July 2025We look forward to reviewing your application.Australian Turf Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating and maintaining a workplace where our team members feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or life stage.
