Located in the Cairns CBD, on the third level of the Cairns Aquarium building, Tomb of the Pharaohs is its own standalone attraction with its entrance and exit on Lake Street, Cairns.Tomb of the Pharaohs showcases 11 of the most lavish tombs of ancient Egypt, recreated to scale and filled with over 450 museum grade replica display items and 300 educational signs. Each tomb lets visitors experience these incredible burial chambers, brimming with mesmerizing treasures, as they were left when the Priests sealed in the Pharaohs, Queens or Nobles, thousands of years ago. This immersive experience lets visitors experience the magic of ancient Egypt while learning about its incredible 3000-year-old history.Educating people about World Heritage listed places, which includes Egyptian archaeological sites, is the vision and the overriding passion of our founding partners and this commitment underpins our business philosophy and ethos. Display items have been sourced directly from Egypt through collaboration with the Egyptian Governments Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MOTA).Opening to the public on June 28th 2025, Tomb of the Pharaohs is a world first experience of ancient Egypt. Cairns is the very first city in the world to host this exhibition. To compliment the visitor journey, a high-quality retail souvenir outlet has been established with Egyptian themed merchandise suited to visitors to the attraction.Retail Supervisors The RoleWe are looking for a switched on and dynamic Full time and Part time Retail supervisor to work in the retail souvenir store at our new TOMB OF THE PHARAOHS attraction.As a retail supervisor, you will be operationally savvy and excel in providing customers with exceptional service, support and a memorable shopping experience.For the part-time Supervisor role, you will be required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across a mix of week days and weekends.Position ResponsibilitiesMeeting and greeting all customers in a friendly manner.Maintaining excellent shop floor standards and cleanliness.Provide exceptional and memorable customer serviceAssist clients with selection of merchandiseDeliver a customer focused shopping experience for every customerSupport store operations including visual merchandise, stock control and back-of-house processes.Safely perform all tasks set out for you.Receive and process deliveries, maintaining tidy stock within the retail space or retail storage areas.Replenishment of stock and display changes on the shop floor as required.Skills and ExperienceProven experience in retail, sales and customer serviceAbility to be approachable and comfortable talking to a range of customers.Strong merchandise disciplines.Collaborative team player.Confident and comfortable in making autonomous decisions when required.Able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels of the business.Well-groomed individual.Able to demonstrate flexibility and innovation in reacting positively to changing work demandsOperational tasks including stock replenishment, ticketing/pricing stock, merchandising and general housekeeping.Experience in inventory control is beneficial.Supervisor experience would be advantageous.Can follow detailed instructions and processes quickly.The desire to achieve the best in whatever you do.TOMB OF THE PHARAOHS is a 7-day a week attraction, open 365 days a year.
