DCS is a business division of the Department of Corporate and Digital Development and provides a centralised, enterprise server operating environment to Northern Territory Government agencys critical business applications, from a centrally located datacenter.The DCS Midrange Services team has 25 specialist staff providing midrange systems administration services in the areas of Microsoft and Linux servers, database support, VMWare virtualisation, enterprise storage management, backup management and support for the NTGs midrange virtual server hosting environment. Desired Outcomes (''Nice to haves'', Conditions & Warranties, SLA''s, Project benefits)Skills and ExperienceThe individual will be required to and/or have experience across multiple disciplines: Designing client-based virtualised infrastructure solutions and DCS internal systems. Implement infrastructure solutions for business application server environments. Developing automation and business logic capabilities to support the provisioning of virtual machines and BAU activities. Perform system administration and provide technical input for the support of midrange server technology stack focussingon Windows Server technologies and RedHat Linux. Administering enterprise VMware deployments with a skill base in Enterprise storage, Enterprise backup/recovery andreplication products. Database administration for SQL Server and MySQL/Maria DB. Experience managing PKI and security patching infrastructure. Administration experience with Active Directory, IIS Installation, Apache products, configuration and web applicationdeployment. Managing and administering experience with Azure subscriptions and resources. Experience in basic configuration and management of F5 BIG IP devices an advantage. Ability to work within a team environment, using an ITIL methodology, with a job allocation system. Be able to diagnose and resolve complex issues as they arise. Be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise and schedule ones own work and provide regular updates to any outstanding job tickets. Develop work instructions and other documentation as required.
