What To ExpectThe Business Development Manager will be responsible for increasing vehicle sales to B2B customers in Australia and New Zealand by acquiring new accounts. You will collaborate closely with the Key Account Management team and hand over onboarded customer accounts that will yield deliveries within an agreed period. This role also involves formalizing commercial terms with corporate, government, and fleet leasing companies. While not your core responsibility, you will work with colleagues across other business channels to drive revenue streams within Teslas vertically integrated renewable energy ecosystem. Our ultimate goal is to establish Tesla as a preferred OEM and to build long-term, sustainable relationships with our customers.What You''ll DoPartner with the Regional Enterprise Sales Manager to develop strategies for growing B2B vehicle sales in Australia and New Zealand.Achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets by creating new accounts that generate both short-term and long-term sales. This includes scheduling sales meetings, utilizing available assets like test drive vehicles, and driving strong ASP performance while ensuring timely payments.Maintain regular contact with active customers and follow the B2B sales process through qualification and negotiation stages.Drive repeat business through renewal cycles by working with leasing companies on end-of-lease reports to identify new opportunities for account expansion.Collaborate with Key Account Managers to foster multiparty relationships and partnerships to meet objectives.Meet sales goals by securing new orders across various client types, reducing delivery dwell times, and ensuring timely payments.Work with Marketing to generate inquiries and enhance Teslas brand positioning among fleet buyers.Support quarterly ordering and forecasting, participating in demand planning meetings.Develop comprehensive product knowledge, including vehicles, processes, and finance solutions.Conduct competitor analysis regularly, providing feedback and insights to keep Tesla competitive.Collaborate with other Tesla sales teams to achieve collective goals.Utilize Teslas CRM system to log activities and customer interactions.Participate in test drive events, industry conferences, and represent Tesla at various events to seek new business opportunities.Leverage existing leasing relationships to grow sales within that segment.Respond to RFPs and work on multinational opportunities with regional B2B leaders.Manage contractual agreements, digital tools, customer ownership, and escalation procedures effectively.Maintain a regular schedule of face-to-face and virtual meetings and be willing to travel as needed, including evenings and weekends for customer events.What You''ll BringProven success in business and government sales, with experience closing complex, large transactions.A proactive self-starter with strong prospecting skills; this role is focused on hunting for new business.Ability to build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.Experience in B2B or commercial sales with a record of exceeding targets and goals, and effective communication across organizational levels.Strong ethical standards and dedication to sales management and operations.Ability to develop collaborative relationships and be a trusted partner.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Knowledge of financial and tax incentives relevant to business sales.Strong administrative skills, especially with CRM tools, and attention to detail.Organizational skills and experience working in complex corporate environments.Ability to navigate government topics related to contracts, privacy, and compliance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
