Job Description About the Role Reporting to EGM Finance & Operations, this exciting, permanent full-time role will lead and oversee the full finance function at Netball Australia, driving strategic financial management, compliance, systems, stakeholder engagement, and key projects. It serves to provide high-level reporting and insights to support data-driven decisions and operational excellence across the business, and its entities including the Netball World Cup 2027. Key responsibilities include: Manage end-to-end accounting, budget development, forecasts, and timely reporting. Oversee A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, reconciliations. Lead audits (internal/external) across NA entities; ensure accuracy and compliance. Represent Finance in key projects (e.g. NWC 2027, Whole-of-Sport Financial Analysis). Serve as CGF Company Secretary and manage CGF financials and audits. Analysis & Reporting Deliver business-wide financial insights to enable strategic decisions. Develop long-range financial strategies, models, and forecasts. Prepare period-end and Board-ready management reports with analysis/commentary. Review reports with department leads; support NWC LOC reporting. Budget Management Lead budget, cash flow, and forecasting for NA and related entities. Support and enhance project/product-based budgets, including NWC 2027. Systems & Process Improvement Ensure accounting systems/processes are modern, integrated, and effective. Lead finance system upgrades/migrations; evaluate and enhance workflows. Develop accountable financial processes through collaboration and training. Ensure clear application of financial delegations. Stakeholder Engagement Act for EGM Finance & Operations as needed, engaging with Chair/Board. Partner with GM People & Culture to align workforce planning with budgets. Provide internal service across pillars; support budget setting and project delivery. Embed financial literacy, reporting support, and accountability culture across teams. Contribute to Finance & Risk and Business Pillar annual planning. Identify operational efficiencies across Netball and Member Organisations. Maintain strong partnerships with MDT Finance Lead and all external vendors. Governance & Compliance Manage statutory, compliance, ASIC, ACNC reporting and funding acquittals (e.g. ASC, DFAT). Maintain adherence to accounting standards, laws, and finance policies. Ensure current systems meet organisational and audit needs. Review and approve payments, journals, and statutory submissions. Oversee asset registers, depreciation, and month-end journals. Maintain and monitor internal controls, finance policies, and risk registers.
