This role provides for an individual who is customer focused, inclusive and works well in a fast paced team, making a difference to our community by enabling them to Participate Their Way within our wide range of health and wellbeing-based services. Fostering innovative and dynamic ideas, focusing on providing an exceptional service to members of the community.Adhere to Active Monashs Service Improvement Programs key focus areas; cleanliness and presentation, presence and supervision, communication, staff appearance and professionalismAssist with operational needs such as welcoming new members, providing training advice, technique correction, generating feedback and cleaning of equipmentGenerate Personal Training LeadsConduct Personal Training and adhere to Active Monash Policy and ProcedureConduct thorough health assessments and design gym programs for membersProvide high level of customer service to patrons at all times whilst allowing them to participate their wayPositively promote the benefits of health and wellness programs and retention initiatives within the centreDevelop and foster a positive culture amongst patrons and promote other health and wellness and recreation activitiesImplement and follow all relevant centre wide and gym policies and proceduresReport major and minor issues concerning gym members or the facility to Team LeaderProvide a professional public image and maintain a safe, informative and friendly gym environmentCollect statistical information regarding patronageConduct group exercise sessions when required within scope of practiceSkills And ExperienceCompletion of Certificate III and IV in Fitness or an equivalent combination of experience and trainingSound knowledge and technical skills in prescribing and supervising one on one and group exerciseA demonstrated commitment to providing high levels of customer serviceExperience in providing exercise and fitness assistance to a range of demographics within the communitySound communication, excellent customer service and interpersonal skillsExperience in assessing physical activity and developing individual exercise programsA flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to varying tasks and prioritiesProgression to Personal Training and develop a client base as part of Active Monash commitmentsWide range of availability compatible with operational hours and needs including Centre opening shifts at 5:30am and closing shifts ending at 9:15pmRequirementsCurrent Level 2 First Aid CertificateCurrent CPR CertificateCurrent Employee Working with Childrens CheckRegistration with AUS ActiveRight to Work in AustraliaSatisfactory National Police CheckBenefitsAs a City of Monash employee, your personal and professional development is a key focus for us.
