If you have a flair for creating tasty meals and a heart for making a difference, wed love to hear from you.Supporting our clients living with neurological conditions, our Rockingham outreach facility provides them with fun and engaging activities in a safe, social environment.As our new Kitchen Supervisor, you and your team will be busy preparing/planning meals, snacks and beverages for our clients, staff, and volunteers alike.Youll quickly settle into a fantastic atmosphere and become known for your scrumptious dishes!This is a permanent, part-time role (30 hours per fortnight) based at our Rockingham facility.Key ResponsibilitiesMenu Planning & Budgeting: Create and manage appetising, nutritious menus that cater to our Outreach Clients, all while keeping an eye on the budget.Meal Preparation: Extend meal offerings for our amazing volunteers and staff, making everyone feel welcome and valued.Dietary Management: Oversee the preparation of modified diets according to individual mealtime care plans, including specific requirements like dysphagia.Food Ordering: Efficiently manage the ordering of food, beverages, and kitchen supplies, ensuring everything is in line with our procedures.Hygiene Compliance: Maintain high standards of hygiene and Food Safety protocols across all kitchen and dining areas.Collaboration: Work closely with Outreach staff to support various activity plans, ensuring our meals enhance their experiences.Volunteer Supervision: Lead and mentor volunteers in meal preparation, creating a positive and engaging kitchen environment.Stock Management: Regularly conduct stock-takes of food and kitchen equipment to keep everything running smoothly.Training & Meetings: Engage in ongoing training and team meetings to stay updated on best practices and innovations in the kitchen.What We Are Looking ForExperience in meal preparation for groups of up to 30 people.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.Valid C Class drivers licence.NDIS Worker Screening Check (Or willing to obtain)DesirablesFoodSafe AccreditationAccredited Food Safety Supervisor (SITSS00069)Experience supervising staff or volunteers in a kitchen environmentSkills in budgeting and forward planning for cateringPrevious experience catering to special dietary needs for individuals with disabilitiesSo, are you ready to join the MSWA Team?Good, well keep reading because this role wont just make a huge difference to the lives of those living with neurological conditions itll make a big difference to your life too.A Little About UsWe exist to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of Western Australians whatever their needs, whatever their neuro condition, we are ready!We all have a unique part to play in the amazing work MSWA does.
